Steve Brodsky, LMT, has been part of the health and wellness field since 1999. He studied Thai massage and yoga while traveling and living in Southeast Asia. He became a licensed massage therapist in 2006. He has taught Breema classes and workshops throughout the PNW since 2010. Every person is supported to touch into their own essential vitality, release what is no longer needed, and experience a new sense of well-being.

Every session is an opportunity for change. Whether it's to address chronic pain, anxiety, sleep difficulty, PTSD, or just an overall wish to feel better in your body, Steve is here to support you.

In addition to his practice, Steve enjoys carrying for his property in the country with his wife and dog, hiking, camping, yoga, and spending time with his daughter and grand baby.

What To Expect

Massage is about accessing a person’s own healing abilities by relaxing the nervous system and bringing awareness back into the body.
Your treatment may include soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, compression, and/or passive stretching. The massage will be individualized depending on your needs and goals. You may either receive a full-body massage or focused work in an affected area.

Massage provides a sense of well-being and awareness can be helpful for:
  • Managing chronic pain
  • Recovering from acute pain, injury, or surgery
  • Reducing anxiety
  • Issues with Digestion
  • Decreasing menstrual pain
  • Becoming more embodied
  • Improving sleep
  • Promoting cardiac health by increasing the relaxation response

Your appointment will begin with an Intake where you will talk with your massage therapist about your goals for the treatment and your health history.  For example, your goals may be to reduce system wide tension and relax, or to increase shoulder range of motion.  You will have the opportunity to work together to come up with a treatment plan.  Your therapist will need to know about any previous injuries or surgeries, and medications you are taking.

The massage therapist will leave the room while you have the chance to get comfortable on the table.  You can remain fully clothed or undress to your own level of comfort. You will be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket.  Only the area that
is being worked on will be uncovered.

During the massage the therapist will check in with you about the comfort of the pressure.  You will be encouraged to let us know if you need more or less pressure, or if you would like more time spent in a specific area.  Please feel free to communicate what works best for you.  All clients are different.  We want to work with you to achieve your goals.
